Barrett McNagny executive committee changes

The Fort Wayne law firm of Barrett McNagny LLP announces that Thomas M. Kimbrough has been elected to serve as chair of the firm’s executive committee for 2022.

Also serving on the firm’s executive committee during 2022 will be Marcus A. Heminger, Trisha J. Paul, William A. Ramsey and Samuel J. Talarico Jr.

Nikki Lanier joins Premier Financial Corp. board

Premier Financial Corp. (Nasdaq: PFC), the holding company for Premier Bank and First Insurance Group, announced that Nikki Lanier, JD, will be appointed to the company’s board of diirectors effective Jan. 24.

Lanier is the founder and chief executive officer of Harper Slade, a racial equality advisory firm that began operations Jan. 1. Prior to forming Harper Slade, Lanier was the senior vice president and site general manager of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (Louisville).

Lanier is an accomplished leader with more than 25 years of experience in a variety of fields spanning banking, labor and employment law, collective bargaining, human resources, and state government. She is a seasoned chief human resource officer (CHRO) in both the private and public sectors, with expertise in a variety of HR disciplines. She has managed multisite operations, ensured compliance with all federal and state employment laws, and implemented comprehensive approaches that effectively align human capital priorities with the overall organizational strategy. Lanier is a collaborative leader that excels at building synergetic high-performing teams in multi-cultural and cross-functional environments.

Lanier also serves as an adjunct MBA professor at the University of Louisville College of Business, where she also serves on its board of advisors. She also serves as chair of the board of One West, a Louisville-based community development corporation, and as secretary and audit committee chair of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority board. Lanier will serve on the Compensation and Risk committees as a Premier Financial board member.

Wolf, Garner named Baden Gage & Schroeder directors

Baden Gage & Schroeder, LLC has named Amanda K. Garner, CPA, and Melissa J. Wolf, CPA, as directors of the firm effective Jan. 1.

Garner started her career with the firm in 2005 as an intern. She now has 16 years of audit and accounting experience. Her accounting practice focuses on a variety of industries including manufacturing, financial institutions, construction, and nonprofit organizations. She is also a lead auditor for employee benefit plans. She invests in the future of the firm by taking a leadership role in staff recruitment. She has both a Master of Accountancy and Bachelor of Arts in Financial Accounting from Manchester College and is a Certified Public Accountant. She is a board member and past vice president and treasurer of Kate’s Kart.

Wolf joined Baden Gage & Schroeder in 2012 and has over 17 years of tax experience specializing in gift, trust and estate planning. She manages tax engagements for clients with personal income, fiduciary income, and gift tax service needs. She has vast experience in assisting clients with the formulation of retirement and estate plans. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Indiana University, and an Associate of Science in Engineering Technology from Purdue University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Fort Wayne Estate Planning Council.

Ziembo new Baden Gage & Schroeder managing director

Baden Gage & Schroeder announced the election of Mike Ziembo, CPA, as its next firm leader. Ziembo succeeded Managing Director Christine Hootman, effective Jan. 1.

Ziembo joined Baden in 1995. His practice focuses primarily on providing clients with audit, accounting, financial modeling, merger and acquisition, technology enhancement, pension audits and business advisory services.

Ziembo is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Indiana CPA Society, and the Indiana Manufacturers Association. He has been involved with Erin’s House for Grieving Children and Big Brothers/Big Sisters for Northeast Indiana. Ziembo is a graduate of Indiana University School of Business, Bachelor of Science in Business.

Nick Talarico leads Do it Best’s ecommerce

Do it Best has selected Nick Talarico to serve as vice president of ecommerce, effective immediately, to lead the company’s growth focus in online sales.

Talarico, who previously served as the co-op’s vice president of sales and business development, will lead a strengthened and dedicated team to give ecommerce the focus and resources it’ll require.

Jack May joins The Antrim Group

The Antrim Group, a residential real estate brokerage, welcomes the addition of Jack May, Realtor. May will serve as lead buyer agent, and serve all types of homebuyers, sellers, and investors in the greater Fort Wayne area. May has experience in acquisition and disposition of investment/rental properties, and will now include service to clients as diverse as first-time homebuyers and luxury property sellers.

Antrim Group hires Nathan Lefever

Nathan Lefever, of LefeverHistorics, has joined the Antrim Group as a residential buyer/seller broker. Lefever brings his knowledge and experience with historic homes, as well as expertise with construction/new-build projects. Serving all types of buyer and seller clients, Lefever sold over $2 million in residential real estate in 2021.

Hoffer named Interra’s business development officer

Goshen-based Interra Credit Union’s Heidi Hoffer joins the treasury management team as the business development officer. Hoffer will tailor solutions that create effective efficiencies and increase productivity for the credit union’s business members.

A part of the Interra team since 2015, Hoffer has held a variety of roles at the credit union in retail and training. Previously, she served as a learning and performance consultant in the training department. She looks forward to taking on this new role as business development officer.

Originally from Nappanee, Hoffer holds a bachelor’s degree in Consumer Science and Retailing from Purdue University, West Lafayette. She currently resides in Goshen.
