Century 21 Real Estate LLC recently recognized local sales teams with the GRAND CENTURION Team award following 2022 sales totals.

The GRAND CENTURION Team award is presented to those independent CENTURY 21 franchise sales teams that earn $1,335,000 in sales production or 324 closed transaction sides within a calendar year.
Lake City Bank promotions
Lake City Bank announced the following promotions:
Reneta Thurairatnam, CFP, CTFA, has been promoted to first vice president, senior wealth advisor in the bank’s Wealth Advisory Group. In this position, Thurairatnam works with clients to provide advice and access to all of the bank’s wealth management services including financial planning, trust administration, investment management and estate planning. She has been with the bank for more than eight years.
She has Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) certifications. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business economics with a minor in management from Huntington University and a master of business administration degree with a concentration in international business from the University of Saint Francis.
Thurairatnam is a Leadership Fort Wayne graduate and recipient of the Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly Forty Under 40 award. She is a Parkview Foundation board member, and a board member and treasurer of Humane Fort Wayne. She is a board and finance committee member of the Allen County Public Library and Vera Bradley foundations. She is a finance committee member of the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne.
Thurairatnam volunteers with Junior Achievement. She is also part of the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force at Lake City Bank.
David Curry has been promoted to vice president, commercial banking officer. In this position, Curry develops relationships with commercial clients to provide financing and banking solutions. He has been with the bank for eight years. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Trine University. He is vice president of fund development for Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana.
Curry volunteers with Junior Achievement and United Way.
Brooke Bentley has been promoted to assistant vice president, retail banking officer at the bank’s Kendallville branch. In this position, Bentley leads sales and service efforts in the branch, manages daily operations of the office and supports office staff in their efforts to provide quality service and build customer relationships. She has been with the bank for 24 years. Bentley earned an associate degree in accounting from the International Business College. She is vice president of the Noble County Council on Aging and volunteers with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.
Joe Burtnette has been promoted to assistant vice president, business banking officer. In this position, Burtnette is responsible for underwriting and approving commercial loan applications for banking clients, as well as portfolio management of the bank’s Business Banking portfolio. He has been with the bank for six years. Burtnette earned his bachelor’s degree in business finance from Indiana University Fort Wayne (formerly Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne).
Nichole Mendez has been promoted to retail banking officer at the bank’s Fort Wayne Downtown branch. In this position, Mendez leads sales and service efforts in the branch, manages daily operations of the office and supports office staff in their efforts to provide quality service and build customer relationships. She has been with the bank for six years.
Phil Nguyen has been promoted to investment advisor. Nguyen manages investment portfolios and provides financial planning services for Wealth Advisory Group clients. He has been with the bank for six years. Nguyen earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and a Bank Management Certification from Purdue University Fort Wayne. He is a member of the Investment & Wealth Institute and Risk Management Association.
