Sturges Property Group has put up the For Sale sign in front of Bird & Cleaver near Fort Wayne’s downtown.

The property at 1603 N. Wells St., is for sale for $405,000. The restaurant’s Municipal Riverfront Development Downtown Dining District Liquor License is available.

John and Lindsay Cheesebrew, who opened the restaurant in 2018 and served many vegan dishes, announced Dec. 2 that they had decided to close the restaurant. The restaurant had been closed for several weeks in 2020 because of COVID-19.

A Sturges flyer describes the property as a 1,734-square-foot 2-story building built in 1900 with a patio and off-street parking. Furniture, fixtures and equipment are available for a new restaurant.

The layout includes a dining area and kitchen on the first floor and a kitchen, dining area and bar on the second floor.
