Allen County Commissioner Therese Brown has agreed to serve on the Indiana Transportation & Infrastructure Advisory Council of U.S. Sen. Mike Braun, her office announced Sept. 10.

Braun serves on the U. S. Senate Environment & Public Works Committee.

Brown will be one of 25 members on the council to provide Braun with pertinent and timely expertise, input, and feedback on such issues as:

• Air pollution

• Construction and maintenance of highways

• Environmental policy

• Fisheries and wildlife

• Public works, bridges and dams

• Regional economic development

• Solid waste disposal and recycling

• Water pollution

• Water resources

Brown is the only member of the advisory council from northeast Indiana.
