Jim Schmidt Auto in Hicksville, Ohio, planned to break ground Aug. 23 on its replacement dealership at 405 W. High St. The $3.6 million project will result in a 22,223-square-foot Ford dealership to replace the company’s previous space, according to an announcement.
Mosaic Building Solutions of Fort Wayne will manage the construction of the building.
This project will provide Jim Schmidt Ford with a larger service area to meet their customers’ needs. The dealership had outgrown its previous location, creating an opportunity to customize a building to fit the needs of the business, according to the announcement from Mosaic.
Mosaic worked with the company and its design team to create a construction plan to fit its growing space and layout requirements.
“Jim Schmidt is a great business partner and longtime client,” Jared Widenhoefer, vice president of sales and marketing at Mosaic, said in the announcement. “We have enjoyed our working relationship with them, and some of Mosaic’s employees remember their parents purchasing vehicles from them 25 years ago. We were excited to be their preferred construction company for this project.”
Construction will continue through the end of this year with completion scheduled for April 2020.
