Wicked Automotive owner Jason Voelck is now selling pre-owned vehicles at 7566 Indiana 930 between McDonald’s and Burger King in New Haven. He’s been in the used-car business for nearly 25 years.

After 13 years located on Lincoln Highway, Wicked Automotive moved last month to a new location in New Haven. It’s now situated between McDonald’s and Burger King on Indiana 930.

According to owner Jason Voelck, “The first 30 days have been very encouraging. I was concerned that I had made the right decision, but it looks like my timing was perfect. We’ve had a great response and I’m hoping to continue to grow this business. I love New Haven, and the city has been very good to me. My goal is to return the favor by providing quality pre-owned cars to area residents.”

“Just moving to 7566 Indiana 930 has upgraded our image considerably,” Voelck said. “This just plain looks professional. The Lincoln Highway location had a gravel lot and two deteriorating garage buildings that, frankly, gave the impression of a shady operation. It was a good place to start my own business back in 2007, but it was time to move on.”

The new location, which includes a 5,200-square-foot building, has two offices, two restrooms and two service bays. “We’ll use the service bays for detailing and preparing cars for the lot. They will also be used for bringing vehicles inside out of the weather for showing,” he said. A 30,000-square-foot paved show lot fronts on Indiana 930.

“My niche has always been pre-owned cars in and around the $7,000 range,” Voelck said. “We’ve started bringing in some newer, low-mileage used vehicles to add to our selection for persons wanting something newer. Getting inventory is not as easy as it was before the start of the pandemic. I want my customers to get the most for their money, and I will not charge a ‘doc’ fee, which is basically a fee added on for processing.”

Voelck, who has been in automotive sales and management nearly 25 years, said, “I want New Haven residents to think of Wicked Automotive and come here when they start looking for a different car. I want to put them in a vehicle that suits their lifestyle as well as their budget.”

The Fort Wayne native and Concordia Lutheran High School graduate is a member of the New Haven Chamber of Commerce board of directors.

A grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony was to be held at Wicked Automotive, 7566 Indiana 930, at 10 a.m. Oct. 15. Regular business hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays.
