Lincoln Financial Group

At a time when restaurants are shuttered and many other businesses are having to lay off workers, Lincoln Financial Group announced March 19 that the Lincoln Financial Foundation will increase its donation to food banks.

The company, based in Radnor, Pennsylvania, will increase funding by 25% for a total of $1 million to nearly 30 organizations across 11 cities where Lincoln has a significant presence, including Philadelphia; Fort Wayne; Greensboro, North Carolina; and Omaha, Nebraska.

The organizations distribute food to community pantries, soup kitchens and shelters; help dispense school lunches to students out-of-school; and provide meals to seniors and other vulnerable community members.

Fort Wayne groups to receive a portion of the funding are:

• Aging & In-Home Services of Northeast Indiana

• Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana, Inc.

• Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greater Fort Wayne
