Citilink has reduced service hours due to COVID-19. The new schedule took effect April 13 and will continue until further notice.
The new hours are Monday-Friday, 6 a.m.-4 p.m., with the last lineup at Central Station at 3:15 p.m. For essential transportation service after 4:15 p.m., call customer service at 260-432-4546.
Saturday service will remain the same, with hours 8 a.m.-6 p.m. with the last lineup at Central Station at 5:15 p.m.
Access service will still be open to clients Monday through Saturday.
To further protect passengers and drivers, Citilink recommends passengers wear a face covering and are only allowing up to nine people per bus to make room for social distancing.
“Citilink remains committed to protecting our employees while serving members of our community in need of essential transportation services during this time,” said Sherese Fortriede, Citilink board chair.
Service notifications will be continuously updated on Citilink’s website at fwcitilink.com as well as its Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages.
“Citilink continuously strives to maintain a balance between maximizing connectivity to jobs and essential services, making adjustments for significantly decreased demand in response to Governor Holcomb’s Stay-At-Home Executive Order, protecting staff and managing fluid changes in staffing availability,” the agency said in an announcement.
Reminders for riders:
• If you are not feeling well, do not take public transportation. Call your health care provider before you leave your home and follow their guidance.
• At this time, public transportation should only be used for essential trips, including for food/grocery needs, medical appointments, pharmacy and work.
• In accordance with CDC recommendations, Citilink recommends that all passengers wear a cloth face covering.
