Road closure

Indiana 1 will be closed for five days starting April 12 to replace a culvert pipe.

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announced S.R. 1 will be closed between C.R. 64 and C.R. 63 near St. Joe to allow crews to install two culvert pipes.

Work is scheduled to start on or after April 12 and last for approximately five days. All work is weather dependent and schedules are subject to change.

During the closure, motorists should use the posted detour of S.R. 8 and Interstate 69.

Motorists are reminded to slow down, use extra caution, and drive distraction-free in and near all work zones.
