Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department invites citizens to the upcoming free Community and Family Engagement Night at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 19 at Faith United Methodist Church, 207 E. Dewald St. It is presented by the Cooper Community Center staff.

Citizens can take part in the forum and then enjoy a light meal along with games and prizes for the kids. These events provide an opportunity for neighbors to socialize and and also engage with some Fort Wayne Police Department officers.

The discussion is “Keeping Our Youth Safe: Vaping, Sexting, Police Interaction, Apps and More.” These evenings are aimed at giving parents and caregivers more awareness and a better understanding of what local youth are faced with and how to keep youth safe.

This free program is hosted by the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department, the Fort Wayne Police Department, Fort Wayne United, the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne and B96.9.
